We had a fabulous Easter in the Scott household. We started things off by going to an egg hunt at church. The weather was perfect Friday... low 80's and sunny! Aunt Nancy and Sydney were able to make it to Fairview and join us for the festivities including "finding" eggs, jumping in the bounce house and going on a hay ride.
Mimi set up a beautiful Tea Party for the girls on Saturday morning. She prepared an amazing table, seating and delicious food. The girls had a blast pouring "tea" (pineapple juice and tea) into our tea cups. We then got to visit with Granddad for a few short hours on Saturday afternoon before heading back to Mimi's for Easter dinner. The girls got to find eggs at Mimi's with Maddie and Justice. Katelyn and Makinley collected all kinds of wonderful goodies from the eggs... bracelets, money and yummy yummy candy.
Easter morning started off great... as I had chocolate cake for breakfast! I had given up chocolate for lent, so was looking forward to the day I could enjoy some again. The Easter Bunny brought some fun goodies for the girls...new Barbie dolls and Princess water bottles. Makinley got to wear her Easter Princess dress to church. Katelyn was also excited to be able to show off her dress at church. Before going to Nana's house...we did a SHORT hike into Abram's Creek. The girls had a blast throwing rocks into the water and dipping their feet in. We then went to Nana's house for a celebration with Sydney and Taylor (and their parents) :)
